Expression Coaching
Expression coaching is at the heart of what makes my headshot sessions unique. It's the one-on-one time I dedicate to working with you to capture the exact expression you need, whether that's a confident, approachable smile, a subtle micro-expression, or even a genuine laugh sparked by one of my notoriously bad jokes.
Let's be honest: 75% of the people who step into my studio aren't naturally comfortable in front of a camera, and that's totally normal. My job is to guide you through the process, helping you relax and bringing out expressions that feel real, not forced.
Together, we'll review the photos live during the session, critiquing and tweaking as we go, so you leave with images you love. Anyone can ask you to smile and snap a photo, but that's not why you're here.

Yes. Almost everyone who walks into my studio says some version of "I'm not photogenic" or "I hate how I look in photos." That usually means no one has ever taken the time to coach you. I guide every expression, angle, and small adjustment, and we review images together in real time until we land on something you genuinely like.
Sessions run up to 2 hours, so there is plenty of time to relax. Most people loosen up about 15 minutes in, and that is when the best images happen.
Absolutely. You do not need any experience in front of a camera. I direct everything: how to stand, where to put your hands, how to angle your shoulders and chin, and the small expression changes that make you look confident and approachable. You just show up, and I handle the rest.
Bring 3 to 4 outfits you feel great in, and dress the way you would for an important meeting in your industry. Solid colors and simple textures photograph best, so skip busy patterns and large logos. Well-fitted clothing makes a big difference.
Not sure what works? Bring more than you need and we will decide together in the studio. We will photograph each outfit on multiple backdrops, and detailed wardrobe tips are sent before your session.
A Studio Session includes up to 2 hours of shooting. A Hair and Makeup Session adds about 1 hour of professional hair and makeup before we start, so plan on about 3 hours total. Yes. The Hair and Makeup Session includes about 1 hour of professional hair and makeup in the studio, coordinated through I Do Hair and Makeup Artistry, before we start photographing. Mention it on your inquiry form and I will help you find a time that works for the team.
Yes. A Location Session brings the full studio setup to your office or another location within 30 minutes of my studio, including Tucson, Oro Valley, Marana, Vail, and Sahuarita. For teams and companies, I also travel throughout the Phoenix metro.
Sessions are available Monday through Thursday, with some evening times available. This schedule protects family time on weekends and lets me give every client a focused experience. Your booking links show live availability.

I recommend bringing 3 to 4 outfit options, and we'll photograph each one on multiple backdrops, because your favorite might surprise you once we see it under the lights. We won't stop until we've captured something you're genuinely excited about.
